Chitokoloki Mission Hospital, Zambia
Chitokoloki is a province in the northwest province of Zambia. The meaning of the name, Chitokoloki, is "place of shining water", and considering the province lies on the banks of the Zambezi river, it is very appropriately named. Dr. Truter has been to the Chitiokoliki Mission Station several times as a medical missionary and continues to return whenever possible.
The hospital on the mission station has been seeing patients for the last 60 years.
Dr. Truter and the Oak Bay Gospel Assembly in Victoria, spend most of the year packing medical supplies and other needed items in boxes to ship to the station. This year, with the help of the Compassionate Resource Warehouse, they have sent a 40-foot container filled with medical supplies to the station. These supplies are all in high demand from the hospital as it operates at maximum capacity throughout the year.
